Illyrius was the son of Harmonia in Greek Mythology and the ruler of the land of Illyria.

Illyria is another name for the ideal land which we now call Utopia.

Illyria is the fictional island in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night on which Viola, Orsino and Olivia find themselves stranded afer the storm. "If music be the food of love, play on" Twelfth Night, line one.
